DIESEL GENERATOR TECHNICIAN
* ***** ** ********** ** Aerospace Ground Equipment
Hard working generator technician with over five years of experience
maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing ground support equipment in
the U.S. Air Force. My experiences include work on mobile diesel generators, air
conditioners, heaters, air compressors, hydraulic testing equipment and light
carts. I also have minor experience working with gas turbine engines. I have a
universal CFC certification for handling and purchasing refrigeration equipment.
In the military I am responsible for preventative maintenance of all the types of
flight line support equipment which includes cleaning, lubing, checking wiring and
hardware, as well as changing fluids and a filters on equipment periodically. I am
also responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, ordering any parts if needed
through a supply liaison, removing and replacing the old parts with new ones. My
job does not go into depth with rebuilding engines as we just replace them if
anything internally is broken, but I have prior experience building engines before I
joined the military working on tractors and race cars. I have welding experience
but I am not a certified welder. I am more than willing to learn new things for the
job.

Experience Highlights
I am currently a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. I am a craftsman level
technician working on flight line support equipment. I currently inspect,
maintain and troubleshoot diesel driven generators, air compressors, air
conditioners, heaters and light carts. I also perform quality assurance checks
on equipment my subordinates perform work on. I have been doing this job
for just over five years. I came into the military with very good mechanical
knowledge being brought up around race cars, off road trucks, and having a
dad that was a certified mechanic. I am very confident and competent in the
work I perform. I am always willing to learn new things to better myself as a
person and technician. I am a quick learner and retain information very well. I
am not intimidated by a challenging trouble shooting problems or working on
unfamiliar equipment or systems.
