Ventra Plastics (Flex-N-Gate) designs, develops, and produces fascia and

trim components used on many of today's vehicle lines including G.M,

Ford, Chrysler, and Toyota and employs approximately 300 people.

Manufacturing Production Supervisor.

Reported to the manufacturing and plant manager. I was responsible for

the development of manpower plans and production schedules and to ensure

that all quality checks are effective and in place for all raw moulded

product. Ensured that all work performed was in a safe and efficient

manner and in compliance with company policy, local provincial/federal

rules and regulations, and the collective agreement. Scheduled and

maintained raw moulded footprints by maintaining the Kan Ban system and

supervised moulding operations and followed up on work results.

Monitored and followed product throughout the production cycle to ensure

quality from my department is maintained and report defects to the

appropriate personnel and takes corrective action as required. I was

also required to track documents and administer overtime equalization,

attendance, discipline employees, vacations, ensure time is recorded

. Led a Shingijutsu event to reduce Stator fabricating process TACT time

which: implemented a laser level to replace manual system for OVC

savings of $11K; "moonshined" a portable information station to house

drawings, NCR's and CN's to reduce travel time and generated $3,000 in

indirect labour savings; implemented standard work for an annual labour

savings of $45K; and increased productivity by 20% enabling us to meet

current customer demand.

an on-site vendor to standardize shop floor consumables and install

Quality Assurance Professional

Reported to the Quality Manager and was responsible for collecting product

samples for quality conformance, measuring samples to ensure all were

within specified specifications, and prepared charts and presentations for
