Duties include consulting with customers to determine their needs, providing advice on styles to enhance their appearance, fitting and measuring to ensure an exact fit, and recommending additional accessories to complete their wardrobe choices. Additional duties include store organization, inventory, and feedback to management so they have the continuing knowledge necessary to maintain and improve customer relations. The Naval Sea Cadet Corps, in cooperation with the Department of the Navy, was formed in 1958 to aid young Americans in developing their leadership abilities, broadening their horizons through hands on training and guiding them to be mature adults. As a Sea Cadet, I completed the following courses:

US Navy Sea Cadets Recruit Training (July 2006)

A basic indoctrination course covering military drill and discipline, physical fitness, seamanship, shipboard safety, first aid, US Naval history and leadership.

US Navy Sea Cadets Advance Training (December 2006) and (April 2007)

Spent ten days at a US Navy Recruiting Station and learned office management procedures and the US Navy screening and recruiting process.

• Intern for Honorable Congressman Tom Davis

(June 2007 to August 2008); Highly competitive selection by Congressman Davis while I was still a Junior at W.T. Woodson High School; Responsibilities included answering phones, mailing letters, assisting with scheduling, entering and generating data, and escorting Mr. Davis to events
