I found the ad for this position on Craigslist. As a 2011 graduate of Rutgers Univeristy I am looking for work in New York City specifically in the field of Public Relations, Social Media and/or Marketing. At Rutgers, my Senior-level classes revolved around Social Media and it's important role in businesses today. We had simulated blogs for a made-up business, that also included twitters, Facebook pages and a website.

In the past, I worked for two years at a reputable Real Estate company in New Jersey where I was a personal operational assistant for Mary Holder's leading Real Estate Agent. I worked the phones, prepared her calendar, assisted at her events and ran her marketing and public relations teams, as well as connecting her to the outside world via my speciality area of Social Networking. I dealt directly with customers, and handled many relationships she had with her clients, and managed her constantly-growing contact list to both those we worked with, and with companies that supplied us. I was my agent's primary contact to the outside world is all aspects. I also designed her press packets, and sat with her in meetings while she made deals.

Secondly, I worked this past year at Sony Music Entertainment where I focused solely on Public Relations/Marketing for musicians and our company. I pitched different ideas and artists to radio stations, print and various news sources, and wrote press releases for those outlets as well. I planned events dealing with the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting, various concerts and tours and inshore signings. I would love to work for a company that has room for growth in many areas, and that is willing to give me real work focusing on Public Relations or Marketing and the significant role that Social Media plays in it. This is something I am very passionate about. I love music, sports, fashion and of course, Pop Culture. I read blogs daily, and talk about those subjects frequently so I can see these features used on many different levels.
