Profile
I am a newly certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine
(NASM) and excited to find a job doing what I love to do. I have years of experience working
with people as a behavior therapist and feel confident that the skills I’ve learned throughout
the years in that profession will play a strong, positive role in my personal training career. I
have helped people reach typical goals such as drinking more water daily, exercising more,
and ending bad habits like junk food consumption and nail biting. I have also worked with
people with developmental disabilities who engage in more extreme behaviors such as self
injurious behavior, and have succeeded in decreasing these problem behaviors and increasing
more appropriate behaviors. By knowing how to effectively put contingencies in place to
change people’s behaviors, new targeted behaviors such as exercising have a higher chance of
being maintained in the future. Arranging effective environments to promote positive behavior
change in regards to exercising and eating healthy is something I like helping people to
accomplish. I enjoy working with people and am enthusiastic in teaching others how to live
healthier in hopes of improving their daily lives.
