Administrator (February 2010 to May 2011)
. Oversee a home health agency consisting of over 200 patients daily
including a branch office in Jennings, LA.
. Oversee a hospice program that grew from an ADC of 15 to an ADC of 40
patients.
. Returned all operations to profitability the last 6 months of my
tenure.
. Revamped and grew the Jennings office census by increasing admissions
from 4 to 16 per month.

. Increased admissions from six to fifteen per month.
. The position was eliminated when the company restructured management

. Initial JCAHO survey was deficiency free.

. Temporary position to assist the company with the relocation of three
hospice programs and to identify new employees to fill staff positions
required for compliance and growth.
. The Phoenix program passed a state survey with no deficiencies.
. Returned the agencies to profitability.
VISTACARE HOSPICE/ODYSSEY HEALTHCARE - Corpus Christi, TX
Executive Director (June 2007 to February 2008)
. Responsible for the redevelopment of a hospice program with an ADC of
250 patients.
. Provided leadership to 120 hospice professionals.
. Responsible for the oversight of a 14-bed inpatient unit including
initial Medicare certification with no deficiencies.
. Managed an annual budget of $12 million, ensuring the site was
profitable.
. Increased the EBITDA margin from 5% to an average monthly EBITDA
margin of over 22%.
PALLIATIVE CARE HOSPICE - Sherman, TX
General Manager/Consultant (February 2007 -June 2007)
. Hired as a short term consultant to develop the hospice education
curriculum and train hospice na ve staff to Medicare and state
regulations. The company had four locations in two states.
HEART TO HEART HOSPICE OF LA, LLC - Gonzales, LA
Executive Director (June 2005 - February 2007)
. Responsible for the development of a new Medicare and state licensed
hospice. The program was awaiting survey when Hurricane Katrina struck
the New Orleans area destroying the hospice office. The hospice was
relocated to Gonzales, LA and certified with no deficiencies on
September 29, 2005.
COMMUNITY HOSPICE, LLC - New Orleans, LA
General Manager/Consultant (October 2003 - May 2005)
. Responsible for all phases of development of a new hospice program.
. Obtained state licensure with zero deficiencies in 59 days after
submission of the license application. Medicare/Medicaid certified
with no deficiencies on March 15th, 2004.
. Also served as hospice chaplain and marketer.
ODYSSEY HEALTHCARE, INC. - New Orleans, LA
General Manager (September 2001 to October 2003)
. Responsible for operations, financial viability and census growth of
the largest hospice program in Louisiana with an average daily census
of 220 - 240 patients.
. Management of 95 - 100 highly qualified and dynamic hospice
professionals.
. Managed an annual budget of over $10,000,000.
. Low staff turnover (less than 3%).
. Grew the census from 160 to over 220 per day.
. Dramatically increased the EBITDA margin.

. Responsible for all aspects of hospice operations in a highly

. Responsible for census growth resulting from quality patient care and

. Guided the organization to CHAP accreditation.
