As a mechanic, I am responsible to my supervisor and the company to select the best method to find and correct mechanical defects, build quality into the product, produce in quantity, work with and lead co-workers, use all proper safety equipment required cleanliness of equipment and obey the rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures. I use proper safety techniques for myself and the safety of co-workers using personal protective equipment, OSHA regulations local and federal directives. I load and unload processing baskets of heavy parts and assemblies during various items cleaned to assure the desired cleanliness and surface condition is produced. I use various chemical solutions including phosphoric acid, caustic soda, degreasing, de-rusting and paint stripping. I use additional cleaning methods such as sanders, grinders, automated immersion units, high-pressure spraying units, and vapor horning units. I quality check the condition of parts and equipment after cleaning as well as the degree of cleanliness. I share my knowledge with journeyman, repairer and helper mechanics selecting tools, deciding on techniques to use and carrying out assignments given to me by the supervisor or work-leader. As a self employed construction worker, my duties include but are not limited to measuring, repairing, testing, cutting, installing and final inspection of all completed job and task. When installing ceramic tile I employ a water tile cutter, troul and employees to assist as needed based on job size. I determine all materials prior to stare of job, solicit vendor quote and maintain expenses and usage of materials for the customer.
