In charge of recruiting and evaluation of qualified linguists in various
critical languages (Dari, Farsi, Pashto, Urdu); networking with the Afghani
community in order to maintain a pipeline of qualified linguist candidates;
recruitment of linguist for all strategic languages in support of U.S.
government missions; database entries and quality control of information
and linguist records. Specific duties involve:
. Continually recruits, evaluates, and screens linguist personnel who
will work as interpreter/translators/analysts worldwide.
. In charge of creating a pipeline of Dari/Pashto/Farsi linguists and
evaluating their language proficiency and overall suitability for the
position in question.
. Coordinates recruiting efforts within various other staff functions,
such as human resources, security, logistics, transportation, travel,
and operations.
. Ensures delivery of the required number of linguists to reach the
required worldwide destinations in the amounts, types, and categories
necessary to meet customer needs.
. Responsible for day-to-day operational and technical oversight of the
recruiting process, which may include professional proficiency
evaluation and testing to ensure high standards are met and stringent
goals are surpassed.
. Recruits candidates to meet additional customer requirements,
regardless of types of languages needed or locations to which
linguists must be deployed.
. Provides input to improvement of quality control of recruiting
process.
. Acts as analyst in reviewing GLS payroll documentation ensuring
accountability and quality.
