USS ESSEX LHD2/USS BONHOMME RICHARD LHD6 in Sasebo, Japan July 2009-November 2012

- As the Hazmat Locker Supervisor, coordinated the distribution of Hazardous Material to 43 Work Centers. Provided expert

training to 19 personnel on 34 Hazmat topics resulting to proper usage and disposal, and zero Hazmat-related incidents.

-Single-handedly developed and implemented streamlined instructions and procedures for excess material/waste handling,

user- friendly to all work centers.

FRC SE Key West in Key West, Florida May 2006-June 2009

- Skillfully supervised corrosion control work center. Trained and managed 4 technicians in the completion of 96

maintenance tasks.

- Division Collateral Duty Inspector, ensured quality support equipment was available to support five tenant and 29

Squadrons. It contributed to a division high 96 percent ready-for-issue rate.

- Division Respirator Program Manager. Implemented a respirator program which earned zero discrepancies and exceeded

Base Safety standards.

- Was one of two qualified painters.

USS George Washington in Norfolk, Virginia April 2004-May 2006

- Documented 300 discrepancies, while conducting 1800 SE transaction reports, efforts were key to SE

division accomplishing a 96% RFI rate in support of post-deployment surge and Fleet Replacement Squadron.

- Coordinate 6 personnel in the 100% accountability, corrosion treatment and preservation of 702 aircraft tie-down

chains and 298 wheel chocks valued at over $459,000.

- Led four personnel in the daily upkeep and maintenance of six 15- passenger vans and 6-buses.

AIMD Sigonella in Sicily, Italy March 2001-April 2004

- As division Collateral Duty Inspector, my meticulous attention-to-detail of SE has directly contributed

to the division’s 60% backlog reduction and contributed to the unprecedented 96% SE on-hand availability

rate.

- Refurbished over 45 SE IMRL assets with zero impact to support tenant and transient commands, U.S. Air Force

detachments and Allied forces throughout the Mediterranean AOR.

- Directed the corrosion treatment and white paint scheme of over 30 end-items of Support Equipment with minimal

mission impact.

- As Assistant HAZMAT Petty Officer, directed the proper disposal of over 200 different types of HAZMAT.

Devoted extra hours providing quality HAZMAT training to 67 technicians within the division.
