I have a diverse collection of experiences which have developed a range of skills useful to a

manger. In particular, I am able to enter a new environment, assess the systems and processes with

a view toward problem identification and resolution. In eleven years managing all phases of quality

assurance in high production automobile related operations, I have been very successful.

At United Technologies Automotive, I managed statistical quality for three factories, and was

responsible in cooperation with assigned product engineers for all Chrysler and General Motors

products, and to a lesser degree Ford and Honda, accounts worth more than two hundred million

dollars annually. I regularly visited assembly plants in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and

Wisconsin for critical launch activities as well as problem resolution. I also supervised all quality

control inspectors in these three UTA factories. Additionally, I was directly involved with such

interior products as the rear shelf during the transition from resonated fiber manufacturing to the

fiberglass replacement made by Prince Corporation, later Johnson Controls. During this period I

worked closely with Prince in order to maintain high quality standards while revolving from

customer to supplier. During my term at UTA I received related education and training from Prince

and General Motors. Key assembly operations visited most frequently during this time included

Honda facilities in Marysville Ohio, GM facilities in Detroit and Janesville, Wisconsin, Chrysler

facilities in Illinois and Detroit, MI (including launch for Neon and Stratus).

At BMC I installed a quality system from the ground up to satisfy the requirements of automotive

manufacturers such as Recaro Seating. BMC grew more than four hundred percent by

manufacturing space and a thousand percent by profitability during my term. Furthermore, I

prepared the system such that my successor was able to achieve ISO registration the year after I left

for more challenging opportunities.

At Center Manufacturing, I was hired to move to Williamsport, Pennsylvania when the company

decided to place its consumer electronics related product line in proximity to the customers, located

primarily in the Scranton area. During this assignment, it was necessary that I learn to troubleshoot

automated welding assembly processes and actually set up a new factory location in Williamsport.

This required a broad sharing of duties between the new locally hired plant manager, two project

engineers, and me.

At Laser Dynamics, I entered a company repeatedly listed by Siemens on the “Bottom Twenty-

Five”, and turned our standing around within one year to the “Preferred Supplier” list. At Laser I

led the team to ISO registration within one year of establishing a quality system. The company

grew more than two thousand percent during my term.

As would be expected, I have extensive knowledge and experience with gages, statistical quality

control, zero defect requirements, customer product submission packages and LAUNCH for

Chrysler, General Motors, Ford, and to a lesser extent Honda. I have fifteen years of supervision

experience and have participated on all levels of new product launch in both the automobile and

office furniture industries.

Thank you for your consideration. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any

time.
