President's Choice Financial and Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of
Loblaw Companies Limited. Operating in the MasterCard, Core banking,
Insurance, PC Telecom, and Gift card segments.
Director, Finance Operations
Reporting directly to the CFO and leading an accounting operations team of

. Finance owner on PC Telecom's launch of the new "The Mobile Shop" kiosk

procedures, and controls for cash management, accounts receivable,
accounts payable, and inventory management.
. Championed the implementation of IFRS. Developed a new accounting manual
and created a process to monitor and implement updates and/or changes as
it relates to accounting matters. Finished 6 months ahead of schedule and
advised parent-company on IFRS matters.
. Successfully led the strategic launch of a GIC program. Increases PC
Financials product offering and provides funding for the MasterCard
portfolio. Product offering was well received by consumers and the GIC
portfolio has provided the necessary funding for the expected growth in
the credit card portfolio.

financial planning and budgeting processes. Including quarterly forecasts,
annual planning, long range planning, investment optimization, partnership
profitability, portfolio profitability, planning transformation, and
business transformation initiatives.
. Assumed the role of acting CFO (2001 - 2002 & 2006 - 2007) while position
was twice vacant.
. Integral contributor providing strategic guidance to the President on the
development and execution of the 'Blue Box Plan'. Providing five years of
strategic direction for the Canadian business by fixing the existing
business, leveraging existing and new partnerships, new product
development, and implement business transformation initiatives to deliver

corporate goals consistently for seven years straight. Canada's
performance made it the #1 international market in receivables ($4

and business transformation initiatives ($20 million annually).
. Key contributor to the renegotiation of partnerships with AirMiles and
Costco. Delivering partnership value, portfolio growth, strategic
investment decisions, while driving down points cost were all achieved.
Successfully bid on the Aeroplan portfolio and negotiated a partnership
deal leading to significant growth in the frequent-flyer and high-spend
segments. Led a review of the Holt Renfrew partnership with timelines and
an action plan to improve profitability through targeted investment spend
to grow profitably grow the portfolio and eliminate non-value partner
spend.
. Key leader in the new product development with the successful launch of
the Tiger Woods credit card and the Centurion (black) card. Developed key
learning's used in future global product launches.
. Championed Canada's investment optimization by efficiently and
effectively managing annual investment spend in $120 million in
acquisition and account management initiatives and $20 million in
technology initiatives while ensuring pre-investment hurdles (NPV, ROI,
RORC) were met. Post investment analysis was used to inform future spend.
Canada became the 'to go' market for investments due to the quality of
investment opportunities and a solid reputation for delivering on its
commitments.

structure. Worked tirelessly to build relationships with key players in
New York, Miami, Phoenix, London, and India. Built a reputation as a
