During the above dates I attended the above college 3 days per week

studying Diploma Child Care and Education CACHE Level 3. The other 2 days

I had a placement position working with the children at Hill West Nursery.

Before I was allowed to take this nursery position a CRB check had to be

made to establish whether I was honest and trustworthy. I passed this check

and therefore was able to go ahead with the placement position. I also

attended night school classes in order to retake my Math's GCSE to,

hopefully, achieve a higher pass grade.

After twelve months I decided the CACHE Level 3 course was not in my best

interest and therefore I decided to try to obtain more permanent work.

APRIL 2010 - JANUARY 2011

Just before and during my time at the above college, I obtained part-time

work as a waitress at the Apres Bar. My duties included dealing with the

general public, taking orders for drinks and food and making sure that

customers were happy with their overall experience. At times my role was

demanding and I learnt how to prioritise and put the customer first at all

times. I enjoyed working within a team and my time at the Apres Bar

broadened my outlook and awareness of what the workplace is like. It also

helped me to become more outgoing and proved to be an invaluable

experience.

SEPTEMBER 2011 TO PRESENT DATE

JONES THE BOOTMAKER, 186 The Mall, Gracechurch Shopping Centre, Sutton

At present I am working as a sales assistant for Jones the Bootmaker, I

work an average of three days per week. My duties include receiving stock

from the control warehouse, placing the stock in the correct stock area of

the shop and I carry out stock checks every few weeks. I also serve

customers in the shop, taking the money and processing credit/debit cards

for goods sold. At one stage having to serve a mystery shopper, after which

I was told I had passed the assessment. At the end of the day I check the

till receipts against cash and make sure the cash totals to the correct

balance. On Sunday's I have the shop keys and open the shop for business

making sure that the till is correct. I am completely in charge of the

shop on that particular day.

I especially like liaising with the public and thoroughly enjoy my time in

the work place, I have developed a sound and happy relationship with my

work colleagues, but I now feel I need to move on and would like a full

time permanent position which is my next main objective in order to

progress in life.
