Quality Assurance Lab Technician
Responsibilities include chemical testing and quality assurance
monitoring to ensure product quality. Product testing includes chemical
analysis such as pH, alcohol, brix, titrations, etc. and package quality
including gas analysis and package integrity. Equipment used included
HPLC, GC, Orbisphere, refractometer, and titration apparatuses. General
lab knowledge, good laboratory skills, and problem solving skills are
required for this position. The position also includes quality
monitoring such as hold procedures and allergen testing along with
documentation verification and HACCP and GMP knowledge.

Marshfield Food Safety, LLC
Lab Analyst
Responsibilities include microbiological and chemical testing on raw and
processed food products, facility environmental testing, quality
assurance and research into food safety testing. Media preparation,
reagent preparation, and general lab procedures such as media
inoculation, plating techniques, and equipment maintenance were all
performed as well. FDA certification in dairy and water testing was
required and possessed. Pathogen testing using PCR and Vidas methods
was a regular part of the position.

Responsibilities included general machine operating in the surface and
conditioning department. This position required knowledge of HACCP and
GMP as well as OSHA policies to be followed at all times to create a safe
work environment.
Other Experience
June 2007 to September 2007
I was awarded a Dean's Fellowship in which I completed a ten-week
research project of the mycodiversity in the drift-less area of La
Crosse, Wisconsin. This included both lab and field research along with
various oral and visual presentations.
