Having spent the past year and a half at home watching my grandchildren, and working part-time for my Nephew's marketing company, I believe it is time for me to once again rejoin the labor force on a full time basis.
I have over 32 years of experience in retail sales, for several larger stores such as Wal-Mart, and
K-mart’s Department stores. I held positions from a floor salesperson, to floor supervisor and department merchandiser. My training has also advanced my skills in security for witch I worked for Burlington Coat Factory, a position which I found challenging and rewarding.
Along with these stores, I also worked for the Firestone Tire store as a manager of tire sales and service advisor, this position gave me training in, inside and outside sales. A; of my training has made me very adaptable and I feel I can work in a variety of positions. In most all of the jobs I have worked, I have been asked to help in merchandising ordering and setting ads. This has allowed me to set up unique in store displays, and do product signage of all types of merchandise.
I have great art skills and have actually set store front and window displays, which I enjoyed.
I studied art in high school, and college along with communications. I feel that, I am a creative person, and a skilled artist. I am approachable and have the ability to carry the conversation at hand. I like to think my sales skills are above average and my approach to a client is strong and honest.
My experience and management skills have allowed me to manage departments, and be responsible for and train other employees in store procedures, and sales techniques. I have great customer relationship skills.
On a personal note, Art is a hobby of mine along with auto racing, but most of all I enjoy being a grandmother and wife, and being at family functions and taking photo’s is my is my addiction.
I am a high school graduate and attended IUSB and Southwestern Michigan. Due to a lack of funds I was unable to complete my college education, but I have taken any available training classes that were offered to me to advance my sales training. I am trustworthy, honest, capable, and hardworking along with being prompt and reliable, friendly and easygoing. I have computer, register and inventory control skills along with those I already mentioned.
I am seeking any available full time position that, I hope, I can grow in, and have some responsibility and one that I will find challenging, and give me a sense of self-worth and accomplishment. I believe I would be an asset to any company, store or manager.
