Engineering Director, Program Management Global Wireless Solutions

• Responsible for the development of wireless technology platform products with primary focus on in-building and outdoor coverage extension solutions. Product portfolio represents approximately $90 Million in revenue on an annual basis.

• Global responsibility for program/product management of all coverage products support and new development. This includes next generation product development, sales and technical staff training, product strategy and competitive analysis

• Manage coverage roadmap activities and work closely with the product management team to ensure alignment of development team initiatives with business objectives

• Manage engineering team with broad base of technical competencies: RF, digital fiber optics, mechanical, embedded/application software, and manufacturing engineering

• Management of Kaval Operations and Engineering integration during 2005 acquisition.

Kaval is a global technology developer and manufacturer of in-building wireless technologies, with a technology focus on public safety systems. Kaval was acquired by Powerwave Technologies Inc in 2005.

Vice-President, Engineering Technology Development and Supply 2002-2005

• Responsible for all manufacturing, procurement and factory system integration. Developed integration process for high mix multi-service coverage solutions

• Responsible for the development of wireless technology product platforms for in-building and outdoor coverage solutions. Applications include commercial services, public safety and private systems.

• Manage development budget, product cost and manufacturability, time to market, product regulatory and product quality.

• Manage product roadmap activities, working closely with sales and marketing teams.

• Provided support to Kaval Board of Directors to achieve exit strategy

• Lead Engineering and Operations role during acquisition phase of Kaval in 2005 by Powerwave. Played critical role in due diligence phase leading to a successful acquisition.

MOTOROLA CANADA LTD – North York, ON

Motorola engages in the design, manufacture, marketing and sale of broad range of mobility products. The North York division focused on Commercial/Government/Industrial System Solutions.

Engineering Section Manager/Program Manager 1988-2000

• Responsible for the development of private systems radio frequency communications platform products. (base stations, mobile radios and controllers)

• Product development responsibilities included the coordination of development and manufacturing activity in four countries with a full time staff of over 100 engineers. (mechanical/rf/digital/software)
