Was employed by Comcast in their Business Class Division as a Customer Account Executive. Provided call center support for Comcast’s business customers. Duties included supporting business-class clients with phone support of their Internet (IP gateway configurations, static IPs and network connectivity), telephones (switch configuration and trouble-shooting; provided changes and additions to telephone service) and cable television services (modem configuration, activation and configuration of cable boxes and video trouble-shooting). Discontinued employment with Comcast to seek a position in IT support.
Metropolitan District Council of Carpenters – Philadelphia, PA
September, 1996 – October 2010
Was hired under contract by Carpenters as Network/IT Consultant. Was responsible for the complete design, installation and maintenance of all servers, printers, PCs and laptops on several Carpenters networks. Also provided end-user training for applications,
equipment and software purchases. Maintained e-mail, backup and antivirus services. Provided floor and telephone support to all users. Communicated with vendors and other Carpenters contacts in support of wire transfers and FTP communications. Performed these
services for all Metropolitan District Council of Carpenters facilities throughout the metropolitan Philadelphia area, including the Joint Apprentice School and New Castle, Delaware. Discontinued employment with Carpenters after contract ended. Relocated to Denver,

Also provided cable termination and fax system support. Discontinued after Hotel was obtained by Remington Hotels (note: helped Remington convert to their system before discontinuing services).

Worked under contract with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia as a PC/LAN Support Specialist. Provided network and PC support to several departments of the FRB. Also specialized in the setup and deployment of laptop computers for the Bank. Provided trouble-shooting support as well as hardware/software installation and configuration. Provided floor and telephone support to end-users. Six-month contract was extended until September 1996, when I accepted a major contract with Metropolitan District Council of Carpenters.

Worked under contract for this major Philadelphia law firm as an Administrative Assistant. Accepted new duties as Network-PC Coordinator in June, 1992. Provided PC and network support and trouble-shooting. Performed database design in Paradox and Access. Also provided data conversions and document imaging processing from preceding Wang word processing system to PC-based network. SJS obtained new PC-based network from third-party company that would only allow that PC-network support be provided through their company. Contracted position with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

Joined SSDS as PC Support Technician. Provided telephone-based PC support for this IBM Valued Added Dealer. Company provided turn-key systems for small- to medium-sized law, medical and dental offices. Promoted to Manager, DOS Systems in July, 1987. Managed an eight-member computer hotline support division and provided hands-on support. Step-Saver Data Systems filed for
bankruptcy protection and discontinued services on July 13, 1989.
