2008 NNDA (Northern Nevada Development Authority) - Carson City, NV
Director of Business Development
Planned and implemented a Retention, Expansion and Recruitment
plan for local and non-local businesses in four (plus three)
counties in Northern Nevada. Assisted over 30 corporations with
the a.m. projects and acted as the liaison between various
governmental agencies and the CEOs/Owners for an easier,
smoother transition.
Worked with the Nevada Commission on Economic Development
(chaired by the Lieutenant Governor) for state's tax incentives
and development programs as well as the Dept. of Agriculture,
Dept. of Energy, Dept. of Taxation, other state and federal
departments for the benefit of the local business community as
well as the relocated/relocating corporations. Generated
economic impact and new jobs in excess of $ 50 M and 1,500,
respectively, in Northern Nevada, including Carson City, Storey,
Lyon and Douglas Counties. Worked closely with all public and/or
private development agencies in our area e.g. NSBDC, RNDC, SBA,
WNDD, MAP, Nevada JobConnect, NRDC, NCET, NMI and SCORE.
