Lean Manufacturing

• Identified the source of a recurring production line “jam” and worked with vendor to retrofit

an equipment modification which resulted in the elimination of throughput problems,

reduction of scrap costs and a reduction of labor costs.

Implemented Lean Six Sigma processes to identify and eliminate work method inefficiencies

in sanitation caused downtime which resulted in an additional 90 minutes per work in

effective production time.

Monitor chemical, labor, and water use and apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize

efficiencies in methodology and cost savings.

Performance Improvement

Improved operational efficiency of processing employees in basic orientation by 15% through

implementing hands on “best practices” to facilitate paperwork and reduce malingering.

Eliminated 3000 hours of overtime costs by initiating and monitoring a “weekend swing shift”
