PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Management

. Coach and counsel all department managers on employee and labor

relations regarding performance management, collective bargaining

issues, employee separation decisions, and facilitate the separation

process.

. Conduct investigations and make recommendations to resolve all HR-

related issues.

. Act as ombudsman for employees.

. Conduct exit interviews.

. Assist with company events, newsletters, company surveys, and other

special projects as needed.

Training

. Conduct performance appraisal management training.

. Facilitate employee performance-related meetings with managers.

against unlawful harassment and discrimination.

V Training includes an inter-active scenario and quiz.

V All employees are required to attend.

V Responsible for training Cleveland staff and former Fox Sports

Net Pittsburgh staff.

V Facilitate a separate session for Vice Presidents and Line-

Managers.

Team Building

. Chosen to lead a team of 5 co-workers to complete a project which

saved the Station over 1 million dollars in ASCAP and BMI music

license fees covering a 10 year period. Overtime was budgeted and

the project was estimated to be completed in 2 years. I developed

spread sheets, quick reference materials to assist in the completion

of the project, trained the team and the project was completed

within 1 year.

. Formed a partnership with Cleveland Initiative for Education "CIE"

whereby the Station adopted A.J. Rickoff Elementary School, a

Cleveland public school. The goal was to tutor second graders in

reading to help prepare them for proficiency tests. I recruited

staff volunteers and developed a system for transporting up to

twelve staff members to and from A.J. Rickoff once a week.

. Host an annual reception at the television Station for one or two

classes up to 60 students from A.J. Rickoff Elementary School

students, whereby the students receive WJW Fox8 book bags, gently

used books donated by Half Price Book Stores, and pizza donated by

Donatos Pizza along with various other refreshments compliments of

WJW Fox8. Various Reporters/Anchors appear and speak to the

students to encourage the importance of education and reading.

QUALIFICATIONS

. Masters of Organizational Management

. BS degree in Business Administration

. 14 years of Human Resources employee relations experience

. Highly experienced interviewing and recruiting skills

. Solid knowledge and application of employment related law

. Investigate and prepare appropriate responses to EEOC/OCRC claims

with appropriate legal and corporate counsel

. Manage employee relations issues and promote practices that

establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a

high level of morale

. Traveled to Pittsburgh, PA as needed to manage HR issues for staff

of 15

. Strong knowledge of conventional company policy and guidelines

. Strong presentation and training facilitation skills

. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

. Proven analytical and problem solving skills

. Strong computer skills and experience, with specific proficiency in

MS Office software

. Strong project management, time management and organizational skills
