Formulating Experience

I have extensive formulation experience developing specialty chemical

products for applications primarily in the automotive construction and

consumer goods industries. These applications include:

Latex Based Adhesives, Sealants & Coatings

I have developed many latex based coatings, adhesives and sealants.

These products include:

. SBR resilient flooring and tile adhesives

. Acrylic cove base adhesives

. Acrylic PSA's, sealants and caulking

. Urethane modified acrylic primers for automotive bumpers

. Asphalt emulsion sealants/coatings.

. Urethane moisture curing floor coatings

. Acrylic latex spray adhesives

. Neoprene contact adhesives

. Converted solvent systems to water-based systems

These experiences have given me a deep knowledge of emulsions,

emulsification chemistry and formulation techniques. In addition I

have acquired extensive knowledge of color, color matching and

custom color development including formulating tinting pastes.

Solvent- Based Adhesives, Sealants & Coatings

I am experienced with the following chemistries used to develop

solvent based products for use on most metallic, plastic and

previously coated substrates:

. 2K urethanes for auto primers, clear coats, truck bed liners

and soft-touch coatings

. Aerosol and air spray IK lacquer primers, decorative coatings

for metal and plastic.

. Acrylic polyols, polyethers, polyesters and isocyanate

prepolymers for coatings.

. Moisture curing urethanes for adhesives, sealants, primers,

adhesion promoters, and tie coats

. Acrylics, vinyl modified acrylics for lacquers, textured

coatings and urethane modification

. Ethylene vinyl acetate for adhesives and coatings

. Nitrile rubber contact cements, vinyl roof and plastic

adhesives

. SBR aerosol spray trim adhesives for fabrics, vinyl trim and

foam

. Neoprene rubber adhesives and mastics for moldings and

weather strip

. Oxime, acetic acid and moisture cure silicones for auto seam

sealers
