Senior Vice President, Midwest Division 2006-Present
Lead a team of 850 employees responsible for sales, service, asset
management and generation of profit for the company's business in the
Midwest. Division consists of three Regions, 102 Business Units spread
across 9 states, generating $400M in revenue. Drive all activity for
Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Training.
. Improved the Net Operating Income by 9.7% annually while improving the
operating margin by 310 basis points.
. Through relentless focus on sales, service and renewal penetration; out-
performed the industry in Net Rental Income growth by 240 basis points,

. Through implementation of Call Center strategy and re-engineering the

transportation markets. A $2 billion company with 3,200 locations. In
2003 the company was acquired by Cendant; the parent of Avis Rent A Car,
and the two companies were merged to become Avis Budget Group.

Budget Group continued:
Vice President, Vehicle Operations, North America 2000-2003
Directed all North American Fleet activity including planning, purchasing,
utilization, maintenance, and re-marketing. Management of the $3 billion
fleet assets accounted for roughly half the companies P&L and involved
working closely with all suppliers including vehicle manufacturers and
financing sources.
. Through improvements in planning and execution, increased the utilization
of the fleet significantly, improving the P&L by approximately $19
million per year.
. By re-engineering the process by which maintenance was supplied, reduced
the expense by 15% producing a savings of $17 million per year.
. Planned and implemented the consolidation of Budget Car, Budget Truck,
and Ryder TRS fleet management departments into one group called Vehicle
Operations. The new group improved processes, facilitated better
supplier negotiations and reduced overhead by 35%.
Vice President, Operations Planning, North America 1995-2000
Led an internal Process Improvement team that designed and implemented
Process Change and Continuous Improvement with a mission to increase
operating margin, while improving customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
included direct oversight of Customer Relations Call Center, Sales Support,
Training, IT Operating Applications, as well as P&L responsibility for two
of Budget's fully owned subsidiaries.
. Developed and implemented new customer service standards, processes and
metrics that lead to a 2.5 percentage point improvement in Budget's
externally measured customer satisfaction ratings.
. Led team that designed and implemented Budget's premier service,
Fastbreak. Implemented offshore credential processing, automated account
registration and service delivery standards.
. Successfully consolidated an acquired subsidiary with $100M in sales and
200 locations, into the base business, improving the profitability by $6
million per year.
