Kaizen Supervisor
- Activities/Responsibilities
o Observe plant floor processes for potential improvements and
design, create and implement improvements using the following:
Value Stream Mapping, Analytical Analysis, Step Analysis, Quality
Tracking and Brain Storming.
o Rearrange equipment in work cells by implementing job flow
standardization.
o Analyze floor processes for similarities, data gathering and Pareto
analysis.
o Build check fixtures, table cooling racks and slides.
o Analyze the Kaizen effectiveness by using metrics comparison using
ROI.
o Create budgets for Kaizen activities and be directly responsible
for Kaizen project form cradle to grave.
o Train floor associates and team leaders on new processes.
Accomplishments:
. Redesigned outsource repack area by using Lean tools and reduced
labor for a savings of $300,000 annually.
. Redesigned Civic Resonator work cell and conducted time studies to
evaluate work load leveling for a labor savings of $150,000
annually.
. Administered Team leader Training across the entire plant for
consistent expectations of work load and areas to be focused on by
upper management, this equated to a 10% increase in OEE.
. Set up Visual Management boards across the entire plant at each
press for a better management tool for supervisors to react to real
time issues of Safety, Quality and Productivity, this improved OEE

- Rotated through all of the production areas to include molding,
assembly, and paint acting as a "change agent", effecting over 200
employees. Participated in reducing 2 million dollars of inventory by
improving uptime through addressing key equipment issues and other
constraints.
- Was selected to lead the second shift operations and coordinate
production, quality, maintenance, and tooling activities. Coordinated
machine downtime to allow for pm and track uptime for effectiveness.
- Participated in a major plant redesign to streamline product flow and
improve operating efficiencies. Facilitated the move of 2 major
assembly lines and coordinated efforts of production to build
necessary product bank and laid out area to "best practice" using 5 -
