Professional Overview

Instructor/Engineer with a strong background in course development, troubleshooting, and client

management. Skilled in analyzing client needs. A respected individual, who leads by example, has

excellent decision-making, problem-solving skills. These skills were developed while meeting the

challenges of a constantly changing business environment.

I took on a difficult assignment with a client that was losing a considerable amount of money due to

warranty claims against the plant. In return, I helped the client to save on the maintenance cost of the

equipment and the repair cost to the vehicles. Through investigating what was causing the problems

by working with the trades on all three shifts, I found that everyone working on the equipment was

performing their daily maintenance in a different manner. This was causing the calibration of the

equipment to be wrong. Working with the trades, I had developed Standard Operating Procedures for

the Calibration, Repair, and Replacement of components for the equipment. This resulted in fixing the

problem and also, reducing the cost of the maintenance on the equipment and greatly reduced the

warranty claims charged against the plant.

Plant was experiencing an issue with tracking parts in a transfer conveyor that was located in a

vendor’s trailer. This was causing production stoppage of about 10 to 30 minutes of downtime every

time that trailer was unloaded. After working with the trades to recreate the problem, I rewrote the

logic to adapt to the problem until the trailer could be fixed by the vendor. This reduced the time of

having an electrician standing by the equipment when the trailer was hooked up until the trailer was

unloaded and the plant no longer lost valuable production time associated to this problem trailer.
