PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Research and Development Chemist

Nalco - Chagrin Falls, Ohio 1977- 2009

(During different times, the company had the following names: Mogul, Dexter

Water Management, Diversey Water Technologies, Nalco Diversified

Technologies (NDT), and Nalco)

The Chagrin Falls facility was closed August 31, 2009

Surfactants

.

. Complete redevelopment of the newly acquired Calgon Skin Care

product line

. Developed new products for the NDT product line this included:

hand soaps, a cleaner line which included window cleaner, hard

surface cleaner and floor cleaner, to name a few

. Provided R&D support for the HI&I market, this includes

integration of surfactant product line into the "basket of

goods" for the lower end market

Boiler and Cooling water treatment

. Developed programs for the control of scale and corrosion in

boiler and cooling water

. Managed over 600 formulations for the Industrial product line

. Performed R&D of new polymers for inclusion in the Water

Treatment formulations. This testing included bench top, pilot

plant and field trials.

. Performed product stability testing on all products leaving R&D

Other

. Developed a cleaner for the reverse osmosis market

. Was a member of the "sole source" team whose mission was to

minimize chemical suppliers within the company

. Performed most all my own analytical work. This includes AA,

HPLC, GC, FTIR, Spectroscopy, and all wet chemistry (standard

methods) testing

. Set the QC specs on products leaving R&D
