the fire service and general industry, as well as fixed and portable gas
detection instruments. Processes used in the manufacture of these products
include electronic assembly, high pressure pneumatic assembly, electro-
mechanical, rubber mold, machining and textile sewing
. Responsible for management and continuous improvement of all
operations/ distribution functions including Purchasing, Planning,
Quality Assurance, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, production,
shipping, warehousing and EH&S.
. Leading up to 500 employees with COGS of $127M, labor & OH budget of
$30M.
. Developed sourcing/operations/distribution strategies leading to large-
scale improvements in on-time delivery, warranty cost and out-of-box
failure reduction, productivity, safety incident elimination, gross
margin and employee engagement.
. Lead supply contract negotiations for commodities with individual
agreement values of up to $14M per year. Succeeded in gaining year-over-
year contractual price reductions as well as terms discounts of up to
3%.
. Developed quality improvement methodology by capturing customer inputs
and suggestions via web based tools and personal interviews. Feedback
received is used to determine resource allocation and improvement
project prioritization and has resulted in very high customer
satisfaction.

systems to support the Simplex Grinnell, ADT and DSC brands within Tyco.

mechanical, electronic integration & test.
. Responsible for management and continuous improvement of all
operations/ distribution functions.
. Led up to 1500 employees in up to four locations with COGS of $240M,
Labor & OH budget of $50M
. Led Operations team responsible for evaluation and integration of DSC
acquisition in 2001, managing plants in Massachusetts, Montreal, and
two in Toronto.
. Introduced Tyco six sigma initiative, providing for training of 2
MBB's, 10 BB's and 40 GB's. Integrated into operations SOP.
. Developed senior staff, exporting three to Plant Manager Positions
within Tyco.
. Spent several months in Guadalajara, Mexico successfully correcting
