To Present Sr. Oracle DEVELOPER

The purpose of the project is to enforce rules the Exchange regulators have

enforced on each trade that's performed, which includes Day Trading, After

Hours, and Pre-market. The database size could be close to 30 to 40 terra

bytes.

Role

. Develop the Commission Design Engine when the trades are not internally

fulfilled and routed to a different market, depending on the Exchange

the commission.

. Performance Tuning of the Queries to ensure optimal speed, especially

on the Java Front end when the results are required to be displayed in 1

to 5 seconds.

. Write DDL Scripts as and when needed when a tuning has to be performed

by the creation indexes.

. Develop/Migrate process from TOPCAT(Previous Commission Calculation

system) to the NEW ECA System

. Design/Develop a process that detects the trade activity of the previous

day for all the exchanges and calculate the cost and further produce a

Tactical feed to GGL team which will be fed in the GL System.

. Work with the DBA to provide a tactical solution in partition

compression, which was consistently failing in the batch process when

the data load process would occur every day.

. Develop a Data Warehouse/Data Mart termed called ZEUS; which basically

is a trading surveillance system. This is basically is a bunch of stored

procedures/packages that are coded to check for particular conditions

and see how many trades qualify under this condition, which is reported

back as an exception to the business in the form of controls or use

cases. The schema implemented is a semi star schema; was closely

involved in Data modeling aspect of the process.

"Goji Juice". The existing Business in Freelife International happened on

an ACCPAC accounting package and the old Jenkon systems which a pretty

outdated system. The current systems is needed a replacement to a new

system which was Identified as iPS for Jenkon and Oracle11i for ACCPAC.

The Database used to maintain the data here is SQL Server 2000, Oracle

10g

Role

. Architecture/Performance Tuning of the whole 3PL Module which begins with

extraction of sales orders from iPS and transmit them to third party

companies such as ESTAFETA (Mexico) /Parcel port(US/Canada)/

Geodis(Germany)/ DHL (Australia) for shipment. On receipt of a these

orders and shipment conformation file is sent back for processing, which

involved code of SQL with Complex Decodes/Partitions/Lead/lag/DDL,

Basically the Pro*C module would read the respective tables write of

files for the designated 3PL country involved.

. Applied Oracle Analytical Functions like dense_rank, lead, lag while

developing complex reports.

. Generated Notification letters on occasions where the emails were not

available for the respective customers and the communication had to be

done by POSTAL MAIL which was developed using PL/SQL/SQL. This interface

was defined as EMAIL Campaigns, which was developed using WEB PL/SQL

feature.

. Designed/Modeled/Migrated data from Jenkon the old legacy to the new

legacy Oracle IPS, which involved writing ETL scripts using

SQL*Loader/External Tables and stored procedures which would

appropriately fill the other tables which are needed in the new legacy

system

extensively reused for process initiation/Job Scheduling/Data

verification in files that were produced from Oracle.

. Developed Korn/awk/Sed scripts for file transmission to all third party

servers, which included existence of the file/integrity of file

format/ensuring perfect handshake between the two servers and the

complete transmission and notification.

. Developed Korn scripts which would notified the administrators about the

space limits in the file systems that exchange acknowledgement files from

3rd party servers, which contains order information with their

respective tracking numbers. The scripts developed are initiated by cron

job at desired times.

. Developed Korn scripts which would query the program log files for any

errors, which when encountered are reported back to respective

department/Users.

. Developed ad hoc Korn/awk scripts for trouble shooting purposes, owing to

sudden change in the requirement, in such situations the database has to

reverse the updates and delete the inserts that were performed by a the

execution of processes, so that the files can be reproduced after the

implementation the new change, in such occasions the shell scripts would

perform string operations to produce the necessary SQL statements.

. Reverse Engineer Jenkon, the existing Legacy system, gather requirements

to build a new system providing Scalability/User friendly functioning of

the businesses.

. Worked with a team of experienced database designers to put up the data

model for the new system

. Architecture/ Performance Tuning of a successful process to enhance the

marketing of Freelife Products called the RO process(Reoccurring Order

Process) which is executed monthly, which contains a series of steps such

as Identify the customer for autoship/Qualify him for the order, create

the order and then process it thru payment process and book the order.

This process generates over 50% of the company's' revenue.

. Architecture/ Performance Tuning of the In-house logistics process in all

the countries where there are no third party logistics involved. This

process produces controls and a packing slip to the importers, which

describes the items, purchased by the customers and then by the warehouse

personnel ships/delivers the product to the customers.

. Recruited/Trained I.T Consultants to understand the Architecture of the

whole module and Perform Quality Check; monitored the process to ensure

the right results were produced on every single occasion.
