Operations & Organizational Leadership
. Leveraged track record of delivering results and leading change to guide
12 of BBW's most prolific stores through the 2006-2007 company-wide
realignment of districts as part of its real estate growth strategy.
- Managed the organizational and operational changes associated with
this and other restructuring/realign-ment initiatives, including
transition from traditional flagship store program to the new Focus
150 model.
- Brought flagship store operations in line with rest of the company,
which had eliminated high-end, third-party products and expanded
proprietary brands from 60% to 95% of product offerings.
. Guided store management teams through these significantly challenging
periods of change, keeping them motivated and engaged during multiple
transitions. Retained 80% of management staff from 2007 to 2010.
. Shepherded two of the 150 Focus stores through ongoing test group
activities, providing BBW an opportunity to test and refine new concepts,
promotions, and procedures before rollout company-wide.
Leadership Talent Development
. Established reputation for superior strengths identifying and developing
leadership talent. Scoured existing personnel base to spot rising stars,
and engaged in aggressive talent recruiting outside BBW.
. Built critical relationships within the market to foster talent
recruitment needs organization-wide. Supported peers with screening,
interviewing, and selection of individuals for key positions.
. Introduced Senn Delaney tools and concepts, promoting a radically
different and compelling new direction of thinking for the leadership
structure. Identified which managers readily accepted and grasped new
concepts and demonstrated potential for supporting change initiatives in
a meaningful and progressive manner.
