will strive to make a difference in your practice and/or organization by
providing quality care to each patient.
Objective:

skills, and experience in a position that will challenge my current
knowledge, implement evidence based research to guide practice, and create
an environment of continuous growth in my profession.
Education:
Marshall University
One John Marshall Drive
Huntington, West Virginia 25755
Post Masters Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate
August 2008-Present (Anticipated Graduation Date: May 2010)
Project:
A research based blind, quantitative study was conducted using statistical
data to analyze the efficacy of current diagnostic testing used to identify
heart failure and/or pulmonary edema. Serum B-Type Natriuretic Peptide
(BNP) and traditional chest films were evaluated to identify a positive
correlation in the consistency of accurate diagnosis. The results revealed
that BNP levels consistently were accurate in the diagnosis of heart
failure and/or pulmonary edema, where as chest films were sporadic in
diagnosing the disease processes.
University of Phoenix
PO Box 29887
Phoenix, Arizona 85004
Masters in the Science of Nursing, MSN
Degree Obtained: May 2006
Project:
A population needs analysis was conducted in a specialized clinical post
operative care unit for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) patients.
Statistical data collected in the analysis revealed several insufficiencies
within the current educational program. An effective and efficient
educational program was designed focusing on the identified deficiencies
that were previously noted. The revised educational program objectives,
goals, strategies, and actions were aimed at post surgical care, nutrition,
activity limitations, expected and unexpected outcomes, and the overall re-
entry process into life after surgical intervention.
