PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

Procurement Management: Managing and direction-finding strategic

sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for

procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality &

reliability. Carrying out vendor evaluation: Negotiating the terms of

credit with vendors as well as the cost of material required. Generating

purchase orders as and when inventory levels reach reorder levels.

Warehouse Management: Managing the movement and storage of materials

throughout the warehouse and processing the associated transactions,

including shipping, receiving, put away and picking. Planning physical

layout of warehouses for storage of materials. MRP as per production floor

needs, tracking and maintaining inventory levels in the stores for all

items. Ensuring ready availability of material to meet production and

dispatch targets. Stock Provision Levels; Cycle counts.

Supply Chain Management: Ensuring customer serviceability maintenance with

detailed planning and execution of materials by developing the supply chain

strategy, annual operating plan & budget based on the business plan and

leading the forecasting and planning process for the department by ensuring

correct method of Inventory Management with minimum stock and Work In

Process material. Providing direction for SCM including design & operating

a reliable & dependable procurement process by ensuring zero loss of

production & no stock outs. Ensuring internal customer satisfaction through

supply chain that ensures JIT procurement of quality components, raw

materials & outsourced items as per the requirement schedule of the

manufacturing units, customer service & projects.

Logistics Management: Managing the flow of goods goods, information and

other resources, including energy and people, between the point of origin

and the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of

consumers. Planning, implementing and controlling the efficient, effective

forward and reverse flow and storage of goods, services and related

information by integrating of information, transportation, inventory,

warehousing, material-handling, packaging, and security.
