The Project Officer ensures that all assigned operations projects are
properly planned, executed, and supervised.
. Directed and orchestrated all initial and final planning for training
conferences and several other various-sized projects annually in order
to ensure de-confliction and coordination between supporting agencies.
. From April 2009 to the present, projects have included Fleet Week San
Diego, Rock n Roll Marathon, Senior Marine retirements, recruit
graduations, military memorials, and Marine Corps involvement at local
professional sporting events for the San Diego Chargers and Padres.
. Coordinated the installation, operation, and maintenance of the
critical communications systems located in the Emergency Operations
Center (EOC) for all public operations that took place on the base.
. Served as Senior Watch Officer in the EOC for several public
operations on base. This position reported all significant occurrences
during public events directly to the base commander.
. Individually raised a base record of $42,000 within a three-month
fundraiser period as the Combined Federal Campaign Coordinator for the
Headquarters and Service Battalion of Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San
Diego.
. Managed and supervised a staff of 32 ceremonial Marines and the
planning of over 150 military funerals honoring fallen Marines and 68
US flag presentations at various ceremonies in and around San Diego
County.
. Updated and implemented several cost reduction plans across several
projects which saved the Marine Corps Community Services budget over
$40,000 in contracts for transportation, food, construction, and other
services.
Training Manager/ Series Commander

The Series Commander is assigned to a Recruit Training unit and was
responsible for the conduct and instruction of Marine recruits and several
Marine Corps Drill Instructors within the unit. The series commander is
primarily charged with supervision and safety during recruit training. This
position is ultimately safely managing and directing the Drill Instructor
staff as they lead the recruits through each training event.
. Supervised the full duration of two training cycles of 250+ recruits
each and a staff of 30 Drill Instructors.
. Conducted countless successful counseling sessions for recruits
requiring special attention, and drill instructors with personal or
military issues. This resulted in a 91% graduation rate over 26 weeks
of training the 500 United States Marine Corps recruits.
. Conducted over 300 hours of classroom instruction on topics including,
Financial Planning, Combat Leadership, Personal Safety, and Core
Values Training (Honor, Courage and Commitment).
. Produced more than 500 United States Marines to serve throughout the
world protecting U.S. interests.

III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) is the organization that oversees the
operation and support of all Marines (30,000) stationed in the US and Asian
Pacific.
. Personally selected by the Commanding General to directly support him
in an administrative and executive role.
. Led the General's 6-member communications team while deployed and
engaged in other movements. This ensured he had a full command and
control capability from any location, globally.
. Managed correspondence and prepared research while also acting as the
"gatekeeper;" understanding in varying degree of the requirements of
the General and which events were appropriate for his direct
attention.
. Deployed in support of Operation Key Resolve '08 in South Korea.
Coordinated with the III MEF staff and host nation embassy and
military to maintain the General's deployed schedule.
. Assisted in the training of the South Koreans to a level in which the
Department of Defense deemed them capable of taking the lead in the
future Key Resolve operations.
. Deployed to the Burmese border for humanitarian relief operations in
Burma and to Dhaka for humanitarian relief in Bangladesh. Facilitated
all coordination for the General to orchestrate the two relief
projects. The US delivered over 3,000,000 lbs of relief supplies to
Burma. In Dhaka, the US Marines remained for over a month delivering
items from US ships in the area.
. Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and two
Humanitarian Service Medals for meritorious performance while deployed
to Burma and Bangladesh during the humanitarian operations.

The communications platoon commander plans and employs the architecture for
the multichannel radio and satellite transmission systems.
. Served as the Network Operations Center Administrator while in a
deployed information systems architecture which was comprised of a
data network to include voice, radio, and data multiplexing for over
2,000 users.
. Developed and supervised the technical and professional training on
the communications systems and Marine Corps General Skills for the
platoon staff.
. Planned and conducted 2 one-week full exercises in a field environment
in order to test the readiness of the Marines and the gear.
. Managed 100% accountability for over 100 principal items, including
over 20 radio and satellite systems with all ancillary equipment,
transportation assets, engineering, medical, and supply equipment
totaling over $17M.
. Mentored, counseled, and gave guidance to a 43-member staff of Marines
in the platoon.
. Coordinated and managed all US equipment being deployed to Australia
from Camp Hansen, Okinawa for Exercise Talisman Saber '07. Tactfully
ensured all gear was prepared and embarked for the Australian
Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS) Inspection. All 90 vehicles and
250 pieces of equipment were inspected and passed in the two-week
inspection for cleanliness.
. Successfully coordinated a 7th Communication Battalion Professional
Military Education (PME) project for 57 junior Marines to visit
several communications assets built around Okinawa, Japan.
