Senior Controls Design Engineer
I most recently worked on a contract - to - hire
basis through Think Resources at Saginaw Machine
Systems. Saginaw Machine is a builder of CNC
turning machines currently attempting to transition
to the commodity machine tool market. I was hired
to help develop controls for the new line of
machine tools as well as complete current special
machine orders. Controls used were GE Fanuc 0i-TC
and 0i-TD as well as one rebuild with an obsolete
16TTB.

Senior Controls Engineer
KRH is a small start-up automation integrator. I
was involved in several projects with them
including writing and implementing a large software
upgrade at Chrysler Brampton Stamping to perform
automatic ordering of blanks for press runs. This
included querying availability from the ASRS's,
coordinating blank handling with the AGV's and
tracking consumption by the press. Controls used
included Mitsubishi PLC's and HMI's. I was also
responsible for projects using Modicon 984, Quantum
and Momentum PLC's and PanelMate HMI's, and Allen
Bradley ControlLogix PLC's with PanelView Plus
HMI's.
May 2005 - December 2005 DiamlerChrysler Sterling

Pressroom Electrical Engineer (Contract)
I spent part of 2005 at a contract position with
DiamlerChrysler at the Sterling Heights stamping
plant. Duties included supporting production and
maintenance personnel by troubleshooting and
correcting problems on transfer press lines. I
also ran projects on weekends to perform press
upgrades. Press controls included Modicon 984 and
Quantum PLC's with PanelMate HMI's, Allen Bradley
PLC-5 and ControlLogix PLC's with PanelView HMI's.
January 2003 - May 2005 Clear Line Controls

Controls Engineer
From January 2003 to May 2005 I did contract
engineering for Clear Line. Projects included
production monitoring software using Nematron's
Paragon, machine modifications/retro-fits using
Honeywell PLC's and HMI retro-fits using Allen
Bradley Panelviews.

Controls Engineer
Stellco provides engineering support to the
automotive industry, specializing in engine
assembly and PC-based controls. I re-wrote machine
software for engine assembly equipment at GM
Powertrain's Flint Engine Plant. Controls were
PC-based using Nematron's Open Controls and
Paragon.

Controls Engineer
Infinite Systems provided engineering support to
automotive plants and suppliers. Projects ranged
from plant support to machine retro-fit and
software re-write, to hardware and software design,
start-up and de-bug of new machines. Some of the
machines I worked on included grinders, transfer
presses, transfer lines, turning centers and nut
runners. Controls used included Allen-Bradley
PLC-5, GE Fanuc 16TT CNC's, Modicon 984 and Quantum
PLC's with PanelMate HMI's, Telemecanique PL7 PLC's
with Magelis HMI's and GE 9030, Modicon and
Telemecanique motion controls.

Saginaw Machine is a manufacturer of CNC turning
centers. I designed hardware and software and
performed start-up and de-bug on lathes using
Allen-Bradley 9-series CNC's and GE Fanuc Series 0

Toyoda operated a re-manufacturing facility for all
types of industrial cylindrical grinders. I
designed hardware and software and performed
start-up and de-bug on many plunge, pin and
multi-wheel grinders, ID grinders, centerless
machines, etc. Controls included Allen-Bradley
PLC-2 series using various stepper and servo
modules, PLC-5 with IMC motion controls and
PanelViews, and GE Fanuc Series 0 CNC's.
