Responsible for all manufacturing and maintenance activities
related to plant operations and production. Create and manage
the production schedule for a twenty-four hours seven day a week
plastic injection molding operation with a workforce of 150+.
Responsible for development, reporting and corrective action
processes related to production. Secure quality control,
material handling, and shop safety. Duties also include
maintenance operations for 31 injection molding machines,
improving profit margins, scrap rates, efficiency measurements
and reject trends.
2000 - 2005 Sunbelt Plastics, Centerville, GA OPERATIONS MANAGER
Total operations management for a 3-shift plastic profile
extrusion facility involved in the production of custom made
signs. Position duties involve planning, organization, and
control of operating functions in relation to financial
performance by improving services and reducing cost through
analysis of processes and optimum utilization of personnel.
Responsible for all aspects of human resources management,
quality assurance, product scheduling using JIT philosophy,
distribution, logistics planning including negotiations and
strategies for LTL and outbound carriers, inventory control,
