As the human resources manager directly responsible for all HR
needs of a three shift, 225 employee, manufacturing/heat treating
operation. Developed and maintained pro-active HR policies and
procedures that previously did not exist that were compliant with
all laws, rules, and regulations, and were consistent with the
changing corporate philosophy. Annually evaluated all company
benefits to ensure the most advantageous benefit plan at the lowest
cost.
. Initiated a new employee performance appraisal system. This
system not only evaluated employee performance on a quarterly
basis, but also created a road map for employee development and
professional growth. This included working with managers and
supervisors to ensure acceptance and ownership at all levels of
the organization.
. Creatively developed new approaches to attract and retain
employees, including targeted recruiting, job specific
interviewing, and skills testing. Focused on retention of both
professional and hourly employees through training and regular

Implemented a new employee orientation system provide continual appraisal,
feedback and training to new employees to foster a positive attitude toward

Improved the salary/wage administration system to ensure internal and
external pay equity. Introduced the ADP HRB and ADP Payroll systems to

Developed labor negotiation strategies with senior management to ensure a
beneficial outcome for contract negotiations. Also managed all day-to-day
grievances issues.
