Material Specialist

Contract position chosen to lead a highly focused cross functional team for

an Army new design critical program, which included a sensitive budget and

reduced lead-times. As the lead Supply Chain member my responsibilities

included but were not limited to insuring material was available at all

times to support schedule, ECO release management, WIP management, RMA

communication and follow-up with vendors for corrective action, metric

reporting to agreed milestones with the team, initiating and communicating

new Lean strategy and procedures for the intended cell. Managed and

communicated on a daily basis with the primary vendors in support of the

program. In this position I was in constant partnership with Engineering,

Programs Office, Production Control, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Incoming,

Reliability, and Shipping and Receiving. The contract was completed two

months ahead and under the awarded cost.

Material Lead

Contract position as the lead materials contact and analyst responsible for

insuring daily, weekly and monthly milestones are met in support of the

overall contract schedule. Includes but not limited to daily interface with

new product engineering, subcontracts, purchasing, and internal program

leads. Insured new components met all engineering specifications during

first article reviews. Established metrics to communicate performance

against plan, and established corrective action as required. Directly

responsible for insuring all production control and material management

requirements were met, as required in a new product/ transition to

production environment. The first two sets of 18 new module, wiring and

frame configurations where delivered to the Navy in support of contract

commitments.

potential customers. Employ a crew of two for all projects that included

COLE HERSEE COMPANY South Boston MA Feb. 06-Sept 07

Planning Manager

Determined the plan, schedule, and forecast for 5000+ unique deliverable

line items.

Integral member of the Supply Chain team to insure material availability.

Materials representative for approval on all engineering changes and

definition of break-in points for production.

Selected lead materials representative during an accelerated ERP selection

process. Selection has been made within budgetary constraints as well as

functionality requirements.

Directed definition of KanBan and Point of Use quantities for the transfer
