Experience

general sales manager - Galles Chevrolet, Albuquerque, NM (apr. 2009 -

Present)

Day to day responsibilities of market penetration in new vehicle sales,

gross and net profits, used vehicle sales gross and volume, finance and

insurance gross and net profit, and enhancing all variable operations

profit centers. Directly responsible for setting and achieving forecasts,

conducting weekly sales meetings, advertising, inventory controls,

maintaining positive factory and lender relations. Upon entry into the

position, there were glaring problems caused by the prior management. I

eliminated prior sales managers, recruited and hired 2 new mangers,

recruited and hired 9 additional salespersons, and replaced one F&I

manager. Improved gross profit averages to $3300 maxi deal average per

unit delivered.

general manager - saturn of albuquerque, albuquerque, nm (jun. 2006 - feb.

2009)

Assumed full P&L responsibility of dealership that was at a $32,677.00 loss

YTD. Immediately analyzed the expense structure of the dealership and

developed a plan to eliminate excess expenses, bring compensation plans in

line with personnel expense goals, set a realistic year end forecast,

recruited and trained new personnel needed, and implemented a new

marketing plan. Finished CY 2006 with a $257,372 net profit. Additional

responsibility taken as General Manager of Saturn of Santa Fe. Results

obtained for CY 2007 at the Albuquerque operation was a $687,191 net

profit, along with exceeding SFE standards in all areas. Santa Fe

operation net loss was reduced from $498,120 loss in CY 2006 to break even

in CY 2007, after replacement of the entire sales department, service and

parts managers, and elimination of the business manager by consolidation of

accounting offices in the Albuquerque operation, and implementation of a

marketing plan commensurate with the Santa Fe market. Ultimately

positioned the Santa Fe operation to sell the point at a profit. Sale of

Santa Fe was completed early in CY 2008. Results obtained in the

Albuquerque operation for CY 2008 was a $499,877 net profit, largely

impacted in the 4th quarter after General Motors announced the impending

elimination of the Saturn brand. As the progress of GM's decision to

eliminate the Saturn brand moved forward, it was my recommendation to

terminate the franchise. The voluntary termination of our Saturn Franchise

was completed April 2009.

Executive manager - mike smith mercedes, beaumont, tx (1998 - Jun. 2006)

Assumed sales operation of the Mercedes Benz franchise in 1993, under

ownership of Terry Archibald, and the R Corporation. The R Corporation

sold out to Group 1 Automotive in 1998. I elected to remain with the

franchise after acquisition by Group 1 Automotive. Group 1 appointed me

as Executive Manager over the entire Mercedes operation. Developed and

maintained exemplary gross profits, and very strong market penetration

exceeding Mercedes Benz goals. Achieved Platinum Level operation for CY

year 1993, and maintained very strong CSI levels throughout my tenure.

Skills

Ability to analyze situations and develop and implement plans to correct

deficiencies. I possess strong communication skills, both oral and

written. I have the ability to build a team, and clearly communicate the

goals and the processes needed to achieve the goals. Asset management and

cash flow management are areas in which I excel. I have always developed

and maintained excellent CSI scores through implementation of processes

required, and enforcement of processes and provide clear communication of

goals and progress achieved.
