PARSYTEC, INC. (2006 - 2008)
TECHNICAL MANAGER FOR AMERICA
Managed four Field Service Engineers and managed multiple projects which
included the technical oversight of installing and servicing Inspection
Systems for the Metals and Paper industries. Upon receipt of a purchase
order, a meeting is scheduled to transfer the project from sales to me
as a project manager. Arrange a Kick-off Meeting (KOM) with the customer
and provide the technical information required for the customer to
mechanically and electrically integrate the system into the process line.
Insure that the system is manufactured to the customer's specifications
and accompany the customer to the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in
Germany. Monitor progress, initiate invoices, and insure on time
delivery to the customer's site. Schedule and manage the Field Service
Engineer's that oversee installation and commissioning at the customer's
site. Once a system is installed, support sales of spare parts and
service of the systems. I have implemented a 24/7 telephone support
group. Coordinate all functions with headquarters in Germany and provide
upper management with various reports on the status of business in all of
the Americas (North, Central, and South).
THE GEM CITY ENGINEERING COMPANY (2002 - 2006)
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Project Manager/Applications Engineer on Process and Assembly Machine
Projects
Completed cost estimates, schedules, and proposals. Upon receipt of a
purchase order, assume the project manager role and manage material,
equipment, financial and human resources required to execute design and
build projects in the industries we service. Personally, developed
accounts with 1st tier automotive suppliers like GECOM, Aisin, and
Holley. These accounts have generated over $8 million dollars in revenue
for GCE over the last four years and have lead to significant profit
margins. Overseen the projects, provided mechanical,
electrical/controls, and software design concepts for the machines and
systems, provided controls schematics and written software when other
resources have not been available. Completed mechanical designs,
conducted project design and post-mortem reviews of projects to improve
the company's capability and profitability. Developed the GECOM account
starting with the design and build of one test machine to designing and
building 48 machines (3 different assembly lines) within a 20 week window
over the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays. For Aisin, developed the
account from nothing into 2 assembly lines for two different products.
Developed the Holley account from a trade show bingo card to a multi-
million dollar business deal which included 2 assembly lines and EOL (End-
of-Line) Test Machines.
RTS WRIGHT (1994 - 2002)
CONTROL SYSTEMS PROJECT ENGINEER
Project Engineer on Process and Assembly Machine Projects
Engineered a tractor- trailer box loader and a pre-form heating &
handling system. Engineered, built and installed a roll resurfacing
machine, two battery assembly machines, two roll handling machines, an
air bag inflator assembly machine, auto body assembly line, and three ink
jet pen assembly machines. All of these machines have used PLC based
machine controls, PC base supervisory controls, robots, vision systems,
numerous servo controls, pneumatics and hydraulics.
