. Project: Added inspection characteristics in SAP
inspection lots. Result: savings in reduced
paperwork & storage cost & human effort (est. $6,000-
$9,000/week) & allowed computerized quality
inspection results trending.
. Project: Lead Kaizen event team (cross functional)
for product disassembly. Eliminated the use of
"Nonconforming Material" process rejection for the
required Nondestructive Testing (NDT) and
incorporated into SAP routing. Completed HS&E
compliance documentation of process change to
adhere to OSHA requirements.
Result: Technician no longer fills out paper
rejection form which required Mfg Eng
disposition and routing creation saving two day
delay in processing. Also 33% increase in
wash/clean equipment capacity providing
productivity increase.
. Project: Setup 100% replacement components (up to
30 per unit) for automatic ordering upon release
of Service Order.
Result: Eliminated the need for manual "usage
decision" material ordering which saved
approximately 75 man hours per day.
