Joshua F. Irwin Experienced Salesman / Customer Service My name is Joshua Irwin, I am 28 years old. I am a very driven worker. I enjoy working in an environment that changes day to day. I like problem solving and over coming objections. I’ve been doing it for 10 years. I come to work to work. I have been in the business of Customer Service and Sales since 2001. It first started as Bartending, then I was promoted to Bar Manager, Bartender, and Waiter at my 2nd restaurant. I then served dinner to an owner of a Car Dealership and was asked to come down and interview. All because of the way I handled myself.. So then I started working at the dealership which lasted 2 years there as a Salesman. That dealership went through changes, I went back to bartending until I was asked by 2 dealerships to come to work, I chose 1 and have been here now for 9 months. I would say my strength’s come with handling problems, overcoming objections, keeping organized, and being reliable. With over 10 years in working with people I’ve learned how to respect, talk to, and make people comfortable. I am also not afraid to take on large responsibilities, take on task’s or projects that benefit the workplace. I am used to being in charge of departments and creating new plans of attack. Special Skills: I have attended countless Seminars on how to work with customers and how to overcome objections. Also I’ve been to about a Dozen Product knowledge Seminars for the Brand I was selling at both dealerships. I have been very successful in learning product and helping the customer out with that knowledge. I have great Computer Skills, I work with Internet Sales Programs, and I am up to date with all Microsoft programs. At all my jobs I have always worked on the computers and helped everyone around me with setting up programs and fixing problems. Overall I’d say I am very up to date and have great skills in communication. Graduated From Midlakes High School in 2001 … Took a Bartending Class, Taken quite a few Car Sales/ Sales courses provided by Chrysler/Ford etc.

Job History: Restaurant Work/Customer Service 2001 - 2006 Mario’s Restaurant / Pronti’s Restaurant. I worked as a Bartender with No Experience and over the year developed great people skills and eventually in the end was Managing the Bar, Waiting Tables, and Bartending. August 2008 - August 2009 Sons of Italy I got back into bartending for a year, taking time to decide where to go next. I enjoyed the Sons of Italy and made a lot of friends there. I still have a great relationship with them and fill in every once in a while. Sales/Customer Service

July 2006 - August 2008 Peter Koch Chrysler Dodge Jeep (Seneca Falls)

Salesman

After being asked a couple times to try it out, I gave in and tried it out. I sold 11 in my first month and the rest was fun and money. I was in charge of the running the creativity of the sales, set ups, lot design etc. My young creative state of mind with “thinking outside the box” sold me a lot of cars. Bringing people in in ways that were not the conventional way of getting people in was something I enjoyed. Marketing a single black vehicle at an Amish establishment, Bringing Dodge Chargers and Dodge Challengers to Car shows and handing out business cards with koozies, running ads of myself in my hometown merchandiser. Those were a few things I would push and excel at.

August 2009 - Current. H&L Ford Lincoln Mercury (Auburn)

Salesman / Internet Sales

In July of 2009 I was looking again at Sales Possibilities and An old Finance Manager of mine gave me a call and told me about this opening at H&L. I took it and started off slow but redeemed myself and took on Internet Sales along with Floor Sales. Although the Dealership wasn’t very structured or really had a plan I have been able to sell cars. I was accustom to a strict sales procedure and standards of which treat customers with but I have used my skills and done quite well here. Selling cars is not a job, it’s a lifestyle. Your always networking or looking for that edge. Keeping organized and on track makes this easier for me, that’s why I choose to come back, but I am ready for a change.

References: I have many people I could list to give more information about me. Here is a few that I’ve known to trust and have gained their trust.

Brett Fletcher: Cayuga County Police Officer, 315-***-**** Ted Manslink: Former Co-Worker at Koch CDJ, 315-***-**** Peter Koch, Kathy Felber, Thad Peake: Owner/Managers at Peter Koch Chrysler Dodge Jeep: 315-***-****

Outside of Work: I am a very happy father of 2, I have a nice place in Waterloo Ny. I am originally from Phelps Ny. I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family. I have a few hobbies that include fishing, Being a Huge Sports fan, Racing Fan, and I am a Dart Shooter. I run, organize, and promote Dart Tournaments all year and sell Dart Supplies on the Side.

Overall: I guess I would like to continue problem solving and helping people. I consider myself to be a very organized person. I come to work to work. Being successful and advancing in my career are 2 goals I am always pursuing. I love to Sell and be successful at it. There’s no better feeling knowing you come to work to make your paycheck by earning it.

As of right now The H&L Ford has been sold to Summit auto group and they will soon be taking over here. This deal I have here was with the current employees and owner. I am not sure if I would like to stay here which is why I am exploring my options. I am pretty sure I will move on if any opportunity arises. ~4/2010
