Regional Accounts Manager (EMR Program Manager), IT Department, 12/07 to 03/09

Retained by CMS to oversee enterprise implementations, training, and ongoing

administration/support of core technologies for all correctional facilities (total

of 29) across the state of Maryland, including electronic medical records (EMR),

VoIP, and risk management issue tracking systems. Managed $2M in regional IT

assets (software/hardware/databases/servers); state-initiated new account

processes; and eLearning initiatives (including training design, coordination, and

documentation). Key Results:

Managed implementation of NextGen 5.4 EMR throughout 29 prisons/correctional

facilities and streamlined staff access processes, saving CMS tens of thousands of

dollars in prior state-assessed fines (previously averaging $969 per day) for

contract noncompliance and missed deadlines.

Overcame numerous technical/logistical obstacles presented by high turnover rates

within prison system, antiquated IT infrastructure, aging platform, unknown
