P&L responsibility for 184K square foot manufacturing facility with 334
plant personnel and 36 staff personnel. Responsible for establishing and
managing 85K square foot distribution center with high volume SKU's.
Average daily shipments of $300K and 10,000 components during peak season.
Manufacturing operations included shearing, bending, welding, assembly,
test, packaging, warehouse and e-coat paint system. AS 400 based IT system.
Selected Achievements & Contributions:
* Implemented cross funtional training program which improved on time
percentage from low 80% to +95%.
* Championed lean events which reduced direct labor as a percent of sales
by 1%. Savings of 800K.
* Balanced material flow between processes which led to one million dollar
WIP reduction.

Responsibility of start-up operations for boiler manufacturing in McBee
facility. Staff of 9 with management responsibilities for Quality,
Manufacturing, Materials and Engineering. Plant personnel totaled 62 with
manufacturing operations that included metal shearing, forming, welding,
brazing, assembly, packaging, test and powder coat operations.
Selected Achievements & Contributions:
* Reduced 600+ unit backlog to <50 within 3 months.
* Improved FPY from 86% to 99%.
* Implemented point of use inventory control system saving $80K in labor
and $300K in inventory.
. Product diversification in the thousands with BTU inputs ranging from
120,000 to 2.5 million.
