Corporate Production Coordinator, Power US, 2008 - 2010
Key US corporate interface as owner of manufacturing, materials management,
and quality modules during global ERP implementation; identified, trained,
and mentored strategic personnel during implementation. Led Six Sigma
study to optimize post-ERP processes. Assisted in strategic manufacturing
planning process. Created planning and maintained capacity forecasts sent
to HQ in Finland. Reported to GM, Manufacturing.
. Recruited by Metso Paper division to implement Infor Supply Chain
Manager Scheduler 6.4, a finite-capacity scheduling/ planning tool;
experience included developing sales and operations planning
forecasts.
. Led multi-functional teams in implementing Baan IV ERP four months
ahead of schedule in two separate facilities in SC and WV; US project
was 700 allocated hours under estimated budget for 2008.
. With $1.5M in sales, most profitable business line achieved its
highest volume of manufacturing output in history during the first
month of ERP implementation.
. Directed first implementation of global rollout of ASME-compliant
quality control customizations for material traceabiliy of lots for

Manufacturing Engineer - Process Systems, 2007 - 2008
Recruited to METSO POWER after acquisition of KVAENER POWER facility. Part
of small team to relocate ASME Section I manufacturing plant for boiler
pressure parts from PA to SC; involved in budgetary planning process,
balance sheet reconciliation for accounting of acquired assets, and
contract negotiations for new facility. Led redesign of fabrication
department and a new header machining center expansion in the WV facility.

. In vacating entire contents of plant in less than three months to
avoid leasing charges, led coordination of tracking all inventory,
machinery, and parts worth over $2.5M; moving phase was 14% under
budget.
. Led the plant design and layout, documented product and process
workflows, and performed interviewing for staffing of a new
manufacturing facility that opened in 2008 under budget and ahead of
schedule.
KVAERNER POWER, Williamsport, PA 2005 -
2007
Department Manager
Managed multiple departments (Bending, Panel Subarc, Economizer) and
products in metal fabrication and weld assembly departments in an ASME
capital boiler facility with a three shift, unionized operation. Oversaw
new product development for first global manufacture of a new exotic
material (T23). Implemented policy of employee participation in all pre-
planning activities. Reported to V.P., Operations.
. With labor cost savings 30% under budget, developed lean-based
production line using concepts as one piece flow and visual controls.
. Collaborated with a Six Sigma Black Belt candidate by performing
design of experiments, organizing data collection of measurements, and
statistical analysis for a project that resulted in $500,000 in
plantwide savings.
. Supervised a capital project ending $380,000 (25%) under manufacturing
budget utilizing constraints management techniques to maximize
throughput.
. By changing culture and increasing communication and cooperation,
Panel Subarc department was 21% under labor cost budget quotas on
capital projects from 2005- 2006 (vs. 3% over budget from 2004- 2005).
