COMPANY PROFILE - Dishaka Gourmet Imports was established in 1990, with the
goal of bringing the flavors of South Asia into the American home. Today
they are a full service distributor, importer and manufacturer selling top
brands like Chirag (spices, flours, breads, beans, oils) Zafrani (basmati
rice), Maxala (snacks), India Chef (instant marinades and chutneys),
Mangola (fruit beverages), Lipton, Brooke Bond and Ashoka(instant meals,
pickles, frozen vegetables) to most major supermarket chains like Wal-mart,
Fiesta, Food Town, HEB, Costco and many more in Canada, the United States
and Caribbean. A dedicated exports division handles all inquiries outside
North America.
As a North America Sales Director in charge my duties are not only limited
to B2B sales and marketing but also to determine merchandise and implement
price and credit policies. Locate, select and procure merchandise and
manage inventories via MAS 90. Formulate budgets and authorize
expenditures. Conduct market research to identify consumer demands and
trends to enhance potential sales volume. Develop and implement marketing
strategies. Determine staffing requirements, hire, train and manage staff
and employee schedules. Responsible for relationship plans for selected F1
clients. Adopt leading measures to maximize creation of economic value for
product lines. Understand and analyze the market potential for products and
provide input for their development, enhancement and marketing positioning.
Identify and escalate internal areas for process improvement within trade
support and customer service areas. Engage in all phases of a product life
cycle from conception through introduction to evolution. In my accomplished
career track I acquired a portfolio of more than 100 accounts that included
Fiesta, H.E.B, Wal-Mart and other small high-end supermarket chains.

As an Administrator my duties were to determine the firm's administrative
