CAREER HISTORY
Controller, Nyrstar Clarksville Inc (formerly
Zinifex, Inc), 2005 to 2009. Recruited to this
$460M division and managed six direct reports
for this international $2.6B zinc electrolytic
smelting company. Ensured regulatory
compliance, supervising fiscal controls,
accounting, reporting purchasing, treasury,
variance analysis, and audits.
Controller, Firestone Plantation Company, (a
Bridgestone Americas Holding LLC), 2002 to
2004. Promoted to oversee fiscal operations
for the world's largest rubber plantation in
Liberia, Africa. Reported on $625M P&L
responsibility. Safeguarded company assets and
evacuated due to civil war.
Controller, SAP Installation Project,
(Bridgestone / Firestone), 2000 to 2001.
Brought in to control spending on Tennessee
core tire group for a major IT/IS project,
critical to sustained long-term and
competitive advantage. Ensured GAAP and SOX
compliance.
Controller, Bridgestone / Firestone South
Carolina, 1997 to 2000. Led financial
operations for construction and greenfield
startup of the most technologically advanced
tire manufacturing operation in the world.
Developed standard costing for new tire
building process.
