Six Sigma Black Belt.
RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Six Sigma Lean Coordinator, Flextronics Corp. Raleigh, NC
2003-2008
. Selected as one of the sites three Six Sigma Lean Leaders charged with
training individuals and teams in lean manufacturing, defect
elimination and continuous improvement tools and techniques.
. Trained site Senior Staff, Line Supervisors and Engineers in Lean
Basics. Included training in 5S, time studies and Value Stream
Mapping.
. Project managed cross functional team to improve first pass yield to
98% from 87% by creating Zero Defects Program utilizing improved
measurements system, continuous improvement and error-proofing
techniques such as poke yokes, failure modes & effects analysis, and
Pareto charts.
. Extensive experience with RCCA (root cause/corrective action)
frequently using 5-why analysis, cause & effect diagram
(fishbone), Pareto charts, brain storming
and FMEA (failure mode & effects analysis). Tools typically used as
part of quality and continuous improvement methodologies such as 8-D
and DMAIC.
. Led and mentored kaizen team improving first pass yield to 95% from
78% and increasing output to 165 units/day from 100 units/day
resulting in 1st place in regional kaizen competition.
. Coordinated and led 12+ kaizen teams using 8D and DMAIC methodologies
to reduce waste and eliminate defects in assembly lines resulting in
increased productivity 15-37% and space reductions up to 74%.
. Experienced with ISO 9000 and ISO14000. Written, modified and updated
hundreds of procedures and documents to conform to ISO standards.
Participated in many audits by
both internal and external auditors sometimes serving as an internal

processes to single piece flow which immediately improved quality,
reduced cycle time 65% and reduced WIP up to 93%.
. Developed and implemented kanban system for 80% of sites packaging
material.
. Created Lean Recognition Program which spread lean successes and 'Lean
Thinking' throughout facility; informed, excited and motivated
workforce on lean objectives; and positively impacted employee morale.
