WORK EXPERIENCE
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Airport Development Group
Nov 2009-Present
Student Professional Worker
. Assisting Project Manager and Engineer with the execution of a
perimeter security fence project that will separate airfield access
from public pedestrian access.
. Using Prolog, ability to read plans, and training to organize and
create field memos, change orders, submittals, and requests for
information. Interacting with contractors, architects, inspectors,
project managers and engineers to evaluate decisions for the project
to meet deadline and budget requirements.
Loyola Marymount University Mechanical Engineering Department
Summer 2009
Research Assistant for Navy Contract
. Summarized lab reports, scientific journals, and documents relating
to the harmful effects of hexavalent chromium when welding stainless
steels and different methods to measure air particle concentration.
. Used research to attempt to develop a method for containing
hexavalent chromium that would be present in the aerosol resulting
from welding stainless steel.
UNIVERSITY PROJECTS
. Currently designing a solar powered system that is coupled with an
absorption chiller to produce hot water and air conditioning using
TRNSYS.
. Designed a fuel efficient vehicle with classmates using Solid Works
and built it for the annual Shell Eco-Marathon Competition. Designed
based on standards and tolerances for different materials such as
sheet metal and plastic.
. Designed a heat exchanger based on length, cost, material
properties, and efficiency limitations.
. Used MATLAB and Simulink to design a spacecraft attitude control
system subject to certain design requirements such as desired pole
location.
. Used MATLAB to program a tic-tac toe game with an unbeatable
computer opponent mode and a 2 player mode.
. Created 42 extensive lab reports highlighting various aspects of
engineering such as: Hardness/Tensile Testing, 1st Law of
Thermodynamics, Mechanics of Materials and Fluid Dynamics.
