Position: Controller Period: May 2009 - Current
Contractor's Access Equipment is one of a group of family owned companies
serving the construction and real estate industries. Contractor's Access
provides scaffolding equipment through eleven branch operations throughout
the Midwest and southeast United States. Other business entitles under
accounting responsibility include a portfolio of wholly owned commercial
properties plus commercial real estate development projects in process. We
are also the one largest salvagers and resellers of architectural bricks
and paving bricks to the construction industry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
V Monthly production of our accrual based financial statements
V Implementation & development of our MAS200 based financial reporting
system
V Development, implementation and monitoring of financial policy for the
agency
V Overseeing all accounts payable and receivables functions for all
companies.
V Working closely with owners in creating / defining additional
reporting needs.

Thresholds Rehabilitations Industries (TRI), (
Http://Thresholds.com/tri.asp ) is a non-profit entity and an affiliate of
Thresholds ( Http://Thresholds.com ), created with the mission of
providing rehabilitative employment services to individuals recovering
from mental illness. Our business units are comprised of a flower shop, a
busy manufacturing entity, plus two entities that provide contractual
cleaning services to the State of Illinois. Consolidated revenues are
approximately 6 million annually. As controller, my accomplishments
included, but are not limited to:
V Monthly and timely production of our consolidated financial statements
and related reports for the parent company, THRESHOLDS, and the TRI
Board of Directors.
V TRI's internal systems/software administrator maintaining and
developing our central reporting package, MAS90, and creating
additional reports through FRx report writer or Crystal Reports, with
supporting analysis also compiled within Excel.
V Direct management of our accounts payable, accounts receivable and
personnel staff.
V Working directly with the business managers on a daily basis in
resolving and addressing all issues related to informational needs,
budget variances plus building additional systems for improved
reporting.
V Coordinating and reviewing our annual budget for each of TRI's
business units, with final submission and presentation to our board of
directors.
V Reviewing and/or implementing additional internal controls as needed.
V Responsible for TRI's annual audit needs; including providing
statements, work papers and summary reports.
A brief summary of current accomplishments include:
V Designed and built custom financial reporting for each business
unit, allowing more focused cost management and increased
profitability.
V Negotiated several state cleaning contracts resulting in increased
operating revenue and profit
V Designed/ built an e-commerce web site, http://www.UrbanMeadows.org
adding to annual revenues.

Position: Controller Period: July 2000 - September 2006
The Bureaus and related companies ( http://www.TheBureaus.com ) are a
group of investment entities revolving around a core collection company,
Doctor's Service Bureau. Our core business model revolved the purchase &
collection of defaulted credit card debt. As controller of this very busy
group of entities, my daily reporting and interaction was with the owner /
chief executive officer plus family investors. My skills and base
accomplishments included
V Developed, utilized and maintained our modular accounting package,
MAS90, in the production of accrual financial statements for the
entities.
V Designed, developed and implemented comprehensive financial modeling,
forming the basis for major business purchase, liquidation and
general operating decisions. Comprehensive analytics were the key to
the profitability of this business, with our models are constantly
being refined.
V Extensive knowledge of MS Office suite with a strong emphasis on
Excel and Access, both of which are used extensive in providing
financial reporting support and analysis.
V Complete responsibility for interim and year-end interfacing with our
outside CPA firm in preparation for various interim and year-end
audits and tax returns.
