Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. (Professional Engineer's

license. (Ability to work well with other people or departments and multi-

task. (Excellent technical and problem solving skills. (Quickly adapts to

new systems and software. (Good physical ability and hands on experience.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Rotary Lift, Madison, Indiana June 2006-

Oct. 2008

A manufacturer of automotive and vehicle lifts.

Advance Design Engineer,

To design four post lifts, suspended pit lifts and other heavy-duty

specialty vehicle lifts that are actuated hydraulically. To perform the

proper stress calculations and have these lifts tested per the Automotive

Lift Institute standards. Work with a third party tester for certification

and test reports. Make and release details, weldments, and assembly

drawings with bill of materials of these lifts for production. Using

AutoCAD and Pro-Engineering Wildfire with Intralink for drawings and

Mathcad for calculations.

( Developed a roll up system for shuttle plates on an inground modular

moveable jacks lift.

( Worked with manufacturing to reduce cost by redesigning of an electrical

enclosure cabinet for lower cost components and new harnesses.

( Interfaced with customers to properly size weldments for suspended pit

lifts.

Princeton Delivery Systems (was Terex and Teledyne), Canal Winchester,

Ohio 1994-2006

A $70 million manufacturer of vehicle mounted rough terrain forklift.

Lead Engineer

To design improvements of vehicle mounted rough terrain forklifts while

reducing cost. Responsible for approving design changes of these

forklifts. Calculate counterweight for customers' trucks/trailers and

consult with them for proper vehicle frame modification to mount

forklifts. Design test equipment and conduct the tests per ANSI B56.6

standard for rough terrain forklifts and record the results. Help Service

department trouble shoot customers' hydraulic and electrical problems.

Used AutoCAD and Pro-Engineering for drawings.

( Teledyne was spending $3000 per capacity/stability test. Designed tilt

table to save money with quicker results.

( Customers needed to know weight distribution of trucks when forklift was

mounted. It took 15 minutes to do one calculation. Created an Excel

worksheet for sales people and dealers to use for calculating of

counterweight needed.

( Helped production increase units produced from 450 in 2001 to over 1000

in 2004 by designed welding fixtures, gauges and reusable shipping/storage

racks.

Guild International (CDI), Bedford, Ohio

1993-1994

A $20 million manufacturer of strip processing welders

Design Engineer,

Responsible for the mechanical designed of automatic strip welders, with

shears, for metal strip processing lines that would increase the

customer's production. These strip welders had hydraulic or pneumatic

mechanisms to hold down the strip and complete the weld. Also designed

circular metal strip accumulators with electrical sensors and other metal

strip guiding devices, using AutoCAD, release 12.

Atlas Car, Division of Bliss-Salem, Salem, Ohio

1989-1992

A manufactured of custom steel processing equipment.

Project Engineer

Provided leadership for designing, detailing and manufacturing of self

propelled heavy-duty transfer cars, material handing equipment and other

types of railed vehicles used in factories and steel mills. Other duties

were to estimate budgets, write technical specifications, calculate power

requirements and stresses, specify the items for purchasing and maintain

records of all relevant documents. Used AutoCAD, release 11 for drawings.
