manufacturing, supply chain, business development, finance, RD&E, sales and
marketing functions, reporting to the President of Gates Power Transmission
Division. Managed all business operations in Europe, Russia (CIS
countries), Middle East and Africa with Global responsibility for Gates
Performance Systems business unit built around highly successful
polyurethane belt products. Annual turnover of sales exceeded E430
million.
. Turned around business, overcoming three years of declining operating
profit. Worked to build a strong team across multiple countries to
leverage strengths in all markets.
. Achieved average increase of 5.2% in sales and 10% in operating profit.
. Re-focused organization to drive sales in automotive and industrial
replacement markets. Increased sales 10% per year in automotive

responsibility, with over $650 million in sales.
. Increased operating profit 15%, return on invested capital 16% and sales
per employee 8% from 2003 to 2006. This was achieved by aligning the
organization with market-focused R&D, increasing new product
introductions for the automotive and industrial aftermarkets and
leveraging supply chain management.
. Increased shareholder value as measured by economic value 48% over three
year period by increasing profitable sales, reducing costs in operations
and an intense awareness and focus on managing working capital.
. Increased sales in industrial markets by over $50 million (30% increase)
over three years based on value selling to distribution, attack on roller
