to accept multiple forms, obtain personnel information,

and provide performance based data storage.

. Architected and led the technical solution to provide

the Carolina Care plan web site using the same code base

as the existing Consumers Life web site. This was

accomplished with a new C# object to determine the site

and use the appropriate text from XML.

. Performed ongoing client requests for the Medical Mutual

web site.

. Modified the Medmutual.com code base for performance to

remedy frequent "out of memory" issues.

. Developed and programmed a bridge to read, apply rules

and format Explanation of Benefits from Disbursements

for the web site.

. Architected processing and data storage for the

paperless option regarding Explanation of Benefits using

DB2 and SQL.

. Built new access and display for EOBs using DB2 SQL and

XSLT.

. Provided a technical lead role for the email

notification process for paperless. This project

utilized a series of Window Services and Web Services to

provide the transfer of information for a suppressed

print of an EOB. AJAX was used to check for notification

messages.

. Provided solutions for the online Individual Insurance

team. These were developed with VS2008, TFS and TSQL.

These included:

approved insurance applications.

o Improving performance by changing stored

procedures and indexes, thereby dramatically

decreasing the wait time for the web user

interface.

o Streamlining the existing email processing by

making locations for logic decisions consistent

and removing unnecessary or inflexible code. This

processing used RenderX, XML, XQuery, and ASP.NET

C#

o Adding a quote rating process to interface with

Individual business data and rules utilizing

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), LINQ and

provided tools for updating mainframe tables, recorded

operational notes and provided notifications utilizing VB

Script, ASP, and JavaScript accessing SQL Server, Oracle,

DB2, and VSAM files. Accomplishments included:

. Designed and developed a knowledge based system

utilizing C# and ASP.NET for the Operations group to

import data from existing sources including Excel

spreadsheets into a formatted database.

. Utilized ASP.NET features, including creating custom

templates within data grids and dynamic column

definitions, to support importing of data to a SQL

Server database.

. Utilized ASP and REXX to edit mainframe data stores.

This allowed the staff to apply updates to mainframe

tables without logging onto the mainframe to perform

specifically defined tasks.

. Performed analysis, design and development for the

conversion of a CICS, COBOL application to an ASP and

JavaScript application that utilized REXX to read and

modify VSAM files.

. Wrote and scheduled processes with Data

Transformation Services (DTS).

. Designed and developed an ASP application that

allowed operations to perform printer definitions on

VSAM and IBM console commands on the mainframe with

an intranet website.
