. Project Definition and Planning

o Establish program deliverables and required attributes with

management and organize a project definition package.

o Determine the master timeline showing both major and minor

milestones and events using Microsoft Project, and ensuring that

the critical path is defined.

functional activities with engineering, purchasing, quality,

SHELBY AUTOMOBILES, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA 2008 TO 2010

Corporate Vehicle Product Development Manager,

. Assisted in the definition of future product concepts. This included

the functional attributes, budgetary control, option content and

manufacturing process definition of future vehicles.

. Responsible for implementing a corporate strategy for all future

vehicles to support a common validation process at component, system

and vehicle levels.

. Supplier chain management ensuring the project management processes

were implemented upstream to ensure improvement of Shelby supplier

processes and product efficiencies.

. Led a team of eight, comprising designers, fabricators, and

manufacturing supervisors reporting to me.

. Reporting on project status frequently to the executive management

team at Shelby, Executive Managers and Directors at Ford Motor Company

and Carroll Shelby himself.

. Investigation of the excessive warranty issues and customer

dissatisfaction concerns with the vehicle quality using engineering

processes and program management disciplines to provide solutions.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY, (SVT), ALLEN PARK, MICHIGAN 2007 TO

2008

Lead Vehicle Development Engineer,

. Led Project Engineer in charge of maintaining a project schedule for

design, prototyping, validation testing, change management, budget and

timing on the 2008.5 Ford / Shelby Mustang GT500KR. Due to the short

amount of time allowed to execute this project, the detailed

coordination of tasks and deliverables to a stringent schedule for the

product release engineers, and product designer was imperative.

. Led the design and engineering of the hood, rockers, mirror caps and

splitter that were made from carbon fiber in an autoclave process. The

use of carbon fiber was to reduce vehicle weight. All these components

met their weight saving requirements of approximately fifty percent of

the standard production component and met the base vehicle dimensional

targets for craftsmanship gap and flush.

. Led the engineering team that was supporting the total vehicle

development located at Ford Motor Company. I performed the specific

validation testing required both on a vehicle and a component level

for both safety and non-safety systems. I completed all validation

requirements on schedule, including vehicle durability, high speed

handling and twelve hour race track durability. All systems met the

requirements.

CHRYSLER CORPORATION, AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN 2005 TO 2007

Senior Project Engineer

. Used my extensive experience in energy management to develop front and

rear bumper systems that would protect the vehicle from damage during

minor low speed collisions. Chrysler continually had weight

improvement requirements associated with its bumper systems.

. Released the most cost efficient system in Chrysler history saving 15%

cost and 25% of weight.

. Supplier evaluation and selection, production process approval and

supplier continuous improvement resulting in the selection of stable,

capable suppliers that would last the duration of the program.

. Commended for my work in developing the skills of less experienced

engineers as a mentor by senior management.

NETSHAPE CORPORATION, NOVI, MICHIGAN (STAFF) 2003 TO 2005

Senior Program Manager,

. Developed innovative molded energy absorbers, Project manage new

critical projects to the company. The product required my skills as an

engineer and program manager to close sales and build new

opportunities, not only in bumper systems but also in interior head

impact management devices and instrument panel knee bolsters. Business

totaled approximately twenty million dollars per year.

. Monitored and controlled a team of engineers from the design, quality,

and manufacturing departments to bring the NetShape products from

concept to launch maintaining a superior level of customer

satisfaction.

. Managed project timing, and open issues, using risk assessment tools

and process evaluation to ensure the project decision making was

supported with accurate timely information in order to achieve a

delivery on time, below quoted cost and with high quality metrics.
